Official JoSAA 2026 data
Choice Filling
Build your complete JoSAA choice list.
Set your branch and state priorities, and this builds a fully structured, strategically ordered list — organized by institute type, then by how achievable each option realistically is. This is a reference to enter yourself on josaa.nic.in, not a submission tool.
How this works: If you enter a JEE Advanced rank, IITs are built as their own complete block first — since IITs use a separate exam and are usually the first priority for eligible students. Your JEE Main rank then builds the same structure for NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, in that order. Within each institute type, results are grouped into three tiers — Hard to Reach → Might Be Reachable → Likely to Get — and inside every tier, results follow your branch priority first, then your state priority, so your genuine top choices always surface near the top of whichever tier they land in. Coverage includes every category and its PwD variant, both Gender-Neutral and Female-only (Supernumerary) pools, and the Goa domicile quota at NIT Goa and Jammu & Kashmir / Ladakh domicile quotas at NIT Srinagar — set these in Step 1. Where an institute appears in the official NIRF Engineering Top 100, its real national rank (not a proxy) breaks ties within a tier instead of closing rank — about a third of institutes in this dataset are covered; the rest fall back to closing rank as before.
Step 1 — Your ranks & category
Step 2 — Branch priority (most wanted first)
Add branches in the order you actually want them.
Step 3 — State priority (most wanted first)
Add states in the order you'd prefer to study in.
Step 4 — Sort order within each tier
Branch-first groups all your Computer Science options together, then all Electronics, etc. Location-first groups everything at one college together before moving to the next.
